Meet Grace Lee, Ayurvedic Health Counselor

I have always been passionate about health and fitness, often times subscribing to the latest fads and trends of the year.  I found myself getting burnt out, depleted, and in a mess of autoimmune disease.  I was always questioning why the recommended health guidelines weren't making me healthy--mind, body & spirit.  I wanted more, I needed more, I just needed to find it.

In an act that can only be described as divine intervention, I stumbled across the podcast: The Highest Self Podcast with Sahara Rose.  Sahara was talking all about becoming an Ayurvedic Health Counselor--something I knew nothing about.  Over the course of the podcast I was struck with the realization that this was my path in life, my purpose: my Dharma.   I couldn't shake that deep, soul recognition that this was my calling--to study & teach Ayurveda, so with a leap of faith, I enrolled in a distance learning course through Joyful Belly to become an Ayurvedic Health Counselor.

Ayurveda has helped increase my self awareness to re-learn my specific needs and how to respond to them.  With compassionate care, I have healed from digestive issues, skin rashes, hormonal imbalances, fatigue, burnout, and a negative self image.  Ayurveda aims to care for the whole being--mind, body, and spirit--and that is exactly what it did for me. That is what Ayurveda can do for you!

As for me, I live in a small fishing village in coastal, Alaska.  I find I spend most of my time in the outdoors: hiking, skiing, foraging, camping, and enjoying time in nature.  Together with my husband, we are busy raising 3 young children and own & operate a commercial salmon fishing business.  I enjoy cooking, baking, reading all genres of books, playing music, laughing, and pursuing further education. I am currently in a 200hr YTT and will be offering Yoga coming this fall.

Thanks for being here!
